About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Coal Mine Supervisor for a full-time permanent position at Ironbark No.1
Coal Mine, located less than a 2-hour drive southwest of Mackay, QLD.
This role operates on a 7/7 rotating roster, supporting a balanced work-life approach while delivering consistent site operations.
FIFO/DIDO options and salary packaging are available, ensuring flexibility and support for your individual needs.
Employment begins with a 6-month probationary period, after which permanent full-time status is confirmed based on performance.
Key responsibilities
Supervising and supporting the delivery of services including VCD installation and maintenance
Overseeing secondary support and strata consolidation tasks
Contributing to outbye and general mine services
Ensuring compliance with safety systems, standards, and site procedures
Leading and mentoring team members to maintain operational excellence
About You
To be successful in this role, you must hold:
Tickets including drifty, loader, airtrack, and QDS drill rig
A current Coal Board Medical (or be willing to obtain one)
You'll bring at least 2 years of underground coal mining experience, strong leadership capability, and a commitment to safety, team development, and continuous improvement.
Highly regarded attributes include:

Sound computer literacy for shift reports and compliance documentation
