At our production site, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a passion for ensuring seamless operations.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our operations team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy, responding quickly to breakdowns, and coordinating with contractors and trade services.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a comprehensive maintenance plan to prevent equipment downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
* Respond promptly to equipment failures and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
* Coordinate with external contractors and trade services to carry out inspections, repairs, and project work.
* Manage inventory levels of spare parts and materials to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
* Sustain a high level of safety awareness and adherence to safe systems of work at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions.
Requirements
We are looking for a skilled engineer with experience in electrical or electro-mechanical backgrounds. You will need to possess excellent problem-solving skills, be proactive in identifying potential issues, and have a strong focus on safety and quality.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
* A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Possession of relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH).
* Ability to lead small-scale projects and contribute to larger ones with technical expertise.
