Hudson Jones are representing one of Melbourne's leading formwork, concrete, and excavation companies on the search for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator. Based in Macleod, this leading commercial construction company operates under EBA agreements across a range of civil, commercial, and infrastructure projects, and are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business and assist project teams with financial reporting, payroll coordination, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities of the role include: Manage daily bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable Process supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and purchase orders Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Prepare and process weekly payroll, including EBA allowances, RDOs, site allowances, overtime, and superannuation Ensure compliance with Fair Work, EBA, superannuation, payroll tax, and construction industry obligations Assist with BAS, IAS, PAYG, WorkCover, and payroll tax reporting Track project costs and assist with job costing and budget reporting Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and external accountants Assist with month-end reporting and financial administration Monitor cash flow and follow up outstanding invoices and payments Support onboarding of employees and subcontractors, including compliance documentation Key Skills & Experience: Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience within the construction industry preferred Experience working in an EBA environment highly regarded Strong understanding of payroll processes, including awards/EBA conditions Proficient in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software Strong Excel and data entry skills High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable Qualifications: Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or similar qualification Experience with construction management software such as Procore or Aconex is advantageous Knowledge of Victorian construction compliance requirements preferred What they offer: Stable role within a growing Melbourne construction business Supportive team environment Competitive salary package based on experience Opportunity to grow within the business and broaden financial administration responsibilities Interested?
