About the Opportunity
The Organisation Development team is responsible for the development of the skills and capabilities of employees across the organisation through the development and delivery of internal and external workforce development initiatives.
You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of effective learning and development programs and organisational development initiatives across the organisation, along with online content management of Council's e-learning platforms.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or experience in Human Resources, Organisation Development, training and development or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating learning and development initiatives, policies and practices
* Demonstrated experience in leadership and change initiatives
* Experience in staff induction and onboarding processes and/or programs
* Demonstrated experience in using HR information systems, Learning Management systems and e-learning content creation tools
* Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Well-developed customer service and time management skills
* Sound knowledge of training and development principles and practices
About this Role
* Permanent, full-time position
* 70 hour fortnight
* Access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement
* Located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations
Salary Information
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
* Grade 12 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,899.71 to $2,184.67 per week, plus 12% superannuation
* The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
What you'll need to have
* The right to live and work in Australia
* Be able to provide information for pre-employment checks required for the position, including attending a physical pre-employment medical examination as required
* Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Council’s Health Monitoring Procedure, as required.
