About the Role

Are you a strategic, people‑focused leader who thrives on building strong systems, empowering teams, and driving operational excellence? Australian Careers Training College and its subsidiary companies is growing, and we're looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our global training service delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role where your decisions directly influence education quality, workforce capability, and participant outcomes. If you're passionate about operational efficiency, and creating high‑performing teams, we want to hear from you.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the crucial link in coordinating the financial, development and operational departments and represent the business with key external stakeholders. You'll oversee the day to day operations, managing staff performance and workflow delivery to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively.

This is a hands-on role working closely with the Managing Director refining systems and processes to developing clear documentation that supports team success, you'll be the person who keeps the engine running smoothly.

Your leadership, communication and organisational strengths will help maintain a focused, motivated and collaborative team culture, ensuring our people have the structure and support they need to do their best work.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and assist the Directors with strategic and operational matters.
* Communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
* Provide high level administrative support and contribute to business planning and reporting.
* Lead compliance, risk, WHS and insurance oversight.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement across operations and administration.
* Develop, document and maintain company processes, systems and procedures.
* Monitor staff performance and implement improvement plans where required.
* Lead regular team meetings, coaching sessions and performance reviews.
* Lead day‑to‑day operations across multiple brand service
* Translate organisational strategy into effective, scalable operational plans
* Oversee workforce planning, rostering, utilisation, and productivity
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and service delivery
* Manage operational budgets, Gov't funding utilisation, and service margins
* Ensure compliance with ASQA Standards, WHS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
* Support incident management, complaints, risk mitigation, and audit readiness
* Collaborate with internal teams, participants, and external stakeholders

This role is ideal for someone who can balance quality, compliance, and commercial outcomes while maintaining a calm, solutions‑focused approach.

About You

You're an organised, practical operator who takes pride in keeping things running well. You enjoy working in a smaller, high performing environment where everyone contributes.

* 7+ years' experience in operations, business management and the fitness or education industry.
* Tertiary qualification in business management, finance or related field (desired but not essential).
* Demonstrated experience managing staff performance.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach and motivate a diverse team.
* Energy, initiative and a down to earth approach, someone who gets things done without fuss.
* Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
