OverviewComplete Belting Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian conveyor and asset maintenance management company that manufactures and supplies products and services to industrial, quarry and mine sites across Australia, and we are seeking experienced belt technicians/splicers to join our Melbourne team.ResponsibilitiesBelt splice and undertake conveyor belt repairs - fabric, steel cord, PVC and speciality lightweightUndertake belt / roller / conveyor system / conveyor cleaner installation, conveyor maintenance, replacement and refurbishments – workshop and on siteUndertake breakdown, shutdown and project workGeneral workshop duties, including dispatch, stock management, maintenance tasks, paperwork, etc (where applicable)Ensure that CBS belt splicing procedures and standards are followed and upheldMaintain customer relationships onsiteEnsure that the company\'s workplace health and safety policies are upheld and that obligations are metQualifications and SkillsMinimum two years\' experience as a qualified belt technicianDemonstrated knowledge of belt manufacturing, splicing and installation processes (as applicable)Sound conveyor product knowledgeCommitment to the highest Work Health Safety and Setting standards in all activities, with the ability to apply workplace health and safety policies and proceduresCommitment to quality workmanship and concern for job-turnaround and customer downtimeA strong work ethic and ability to follow instruction as well as work well as an individual or as part of team, especially when under pressureA responsible attitude, with a willingness to be held accountableA willingness to work overtime (including weekends)A current forklift licence will be looked upon favourablyPossessing the following qualifications would be an advantage: confined space; Working Safely at Heights; EWP; White CardAbility to pass a drug and alcohol testAbility to pass a pre-employment medicalPlease note that applicants without a current drivers licence will not be considered.Other informationPlease include in your application your current qualifications / tickets and inductions.Please note that candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical evaluation and submit to a drug and alcohol test.
