We are seeking a junior to intermediate Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Litigation team. This is a part‐time role, working Thursday and Friday each week, and will involve job sharing with another Legal Assistant who works Monday to Wednesday.
The successful candidate will provide administrative and practice support to a team of lawyers and will have prior experience working as a Legal Assistant, ideally within a commercial litigation or similar practice group.
Key responsibilities include:
* Diary and inbox management
* Billing, time recording, expense management and client reporting
* Preparation of correspondence, Briefs to Counsel and Court documents
* Filing and service of Court documents
* Assisting with telephone enquiries and ability to develop relationships internally and externally
* Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing and physical filing
* Event management and travel bookings
Required skills and experience:
* Exceptional organisational skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a job‐share arrangement
* Highly proactive
* Knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Expert Aderant or other finance related software
* Knowledge of NetDocuments or other document management software
