Overview
SEE Group is recruiting a Leading Hand Diesel Fitter for a major mining infrastructure project in Orange, NSW. This full‐time position runs on an 8 on/6 off roster.
Opportunity
The role involves working closely with a team of experienced fitters and technicians to maintain heavy machinery and plant on the project.
Responsibilities
* Be positive and proactive in coaching, mentoring and training staff.
* Build a productive team environment to meet customer and business objectives.
* Repair, service and maintain earthmoving plant, equipment and light vehicles.
* Implement and adhere to asset maintenance scheduling.
* Travel between project sites and perform work in a field environment.
* Carry out lockout and tag‐out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.
* Provide technical expertise to project teams and basic service training to plant operators.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience in servicing and repairing heavy plant, mechanical and electrical processes.
* Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.
* Proven management skills and planning ability.
* Experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
* Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
* Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
* High‐level planning, organising and problem‐solving skills, and ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
