The opportunity
Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to support the financial operations of Victorian Clinical Genetics Services (VCGS). This pivotal role will work closely with senior leaders to deliver high-quality financial insights, strengthen commercial decision-making, and support the continued growth of a world-leading genetics service.

What you'll do
* Lead the month-end close process, ensuring financial results are accurate and delivered on time
* Prepare financial reporting, analysis and insights to support senior leadership and Board reporting
* Analyse budget versus actual performance and provide forecasting and financial commentary
* Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights and financial decision support
* Oversee the Accounts Receivable function, including team leadership and process improvement
What you'll bring
* Hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification
* Minimum 7 years' relevant finance or accounting experience
* Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
* Experience in leading or managing finance staff
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
