Job Title: Mechanical Asset Manager
About the Role
A global mining company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Asset Manager to lead asset integrity programs across their processing plant operations.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in managing mechanical assets, with a strong focus on routine and ad hoc inspections, inspection reports, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and statutory requirements.
This is a key role that requires a deep understanding of Australian Standards and site inspection practices, as well as experience in brownfields work within mining processing plants, materials handling or similar.
Key Responsibilities
* Routine and ad hoc inspections of critical plant and equipment
* Preparing inspection reports and recommendations
* Ensuring inspection and repairs meet codes, standards, and statutory requirements
* Working independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 10 years of experience in brownfields work within mining processing plants, materials handling or similar
* Experience in the inspection and management of pressure vessels and cranes within brownfield environments is essential
* Proven background in asset integrity management on mining or heavy industrial assets-ideally in gold or mineral processing
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards and site inspection practices
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Competence in asset integrity inspections and preparation of related reports/documentation
