About the Role
As a Site Chef, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality, nutritious meals to workers on a defence base. This is a contract position with a rotating roster and split shifts, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and enjoys the challenge of delivering consistent service under pressure.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, crib lunch, and dinner services
2. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and food safety compliance
3. Assisting with menu preparation, stock control, and kitchen operations
4. Ensuring dietary requirements and food portions are managed correctly
5. Working as part of a kitchen team to meet service deadlines
6. Supporting cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
What We're Looking For:
7. Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery ( Cert IV)
8. Previous experience in bulk catering or remote/industrial sites preferred
9. A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset
10. Good time management and adaptability under pressure
11. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and provide police clearance
