The opportunity
Reporting to the Area Manager, this role will be accountable for the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of construction activities on infrastructure projects, delivered at our Pilgangoora Site. The role provides leadership to site construction teams and contractors, ensuring works are completed in accordance with WA mining legislation, project HSE standards, schedule, cost, and quality requirements, through to handover and commissioning readiness.
This role is offered as a 24-month maximum‐term position or, if preferred, a casual day‐rate engagement, operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO within the Pilbara region.
Key responsibilities
* Lead site construction activities safely and compliantly
* Champion safety leadership and HSE performance
* Manage construction teams and contractors onsite
* Coordinate civil, SMP and non‐process infrastructure works
* Plan and sequence works in a remote FIFO environment
* Deliver construction activities to schedule and budget
* Monitor quality, inspections and defect rectification
* Manage permits, isolations and risk assessments
* Oversee construction completion and handover
* Partner with engineering, operations and commissioning teams
About you
* Demonstrated experience in a construction management role within mining or heavy industry
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management
* Strong safety leadership and sound knowledge of WA WHS (Mines) Regulations
* Section 44 / Schedule 26 statutory training (or ability to obtain)
* Proven ability to lead site teams and contractors in a FIFO environment
* Experience delivering Process and non‐process construction works
* Well‐developed planning, scheduling and execution capability
* Decisive, hands‐on leader with strong communication skills
* Commitment to quality, compliance and safe project delivery
