ABOUT OUR ROLE
1. Permanent, full‐time day work position at Simplot Ulverstone (we are also open to those suitably qualified & experienced candidates seeking casual opportunities for maintenance days + coverage)
2. Monday – Friday day work 0700 – 1530hrs (with an option of set 4 day week 0600 – 1630hrs Mon‐Thurs)
3. Base hourly rate of $46.40 + applicable shift loadings & site allowances etc
4. Electrical licence allowance $72.80 per week + tool allowance $23.28 per week
5. RDO accruals
6. Work with a variety of fixed‐plant food processing equipment within a world‐class food manufacturing environment
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro‐stops caused by production machinery and equipment
* Inspect, test and maintain machinery & equipment in production areas + wider plant buildings & facilities
* Work with PLC, SCADA (noting that Simplot utilise CITECT) and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault finding, programming and connections
* Perform general plant and building maintenance work, undertaking specific project work upon request
* Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Simplot Safety, Health & Wellbeing + Environmental policies & procedures
* Utilise MEX CMMS to update work orders, search asset history and advise on any maintenance trends or opportunity for improvement and innovation
* Contribute towards site CI activities
* Take part in monthly maintenance day (Monday 0700hrs – 1730hrs)
ABOUT YOU
* Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health & wellbeing in the workplace
* Hold a Cert III Electrotechnology + Tasmanian Electrical Licence (mandatory)
* Qualifications in Instrumentation & Controls would be advantageous but not essential
* Experience with fixed‐plant electrical works
* Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read and interpret schematics
* Working knowledge of safety and quality systems & procedures
* Intermediate user of Windows‐based systems and CMMS (noting that Simplot utilise MEX)
* Sound judgment and decision making ability
* Possess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills and time management skills
* Willingness to undergo a pre‐employment medical including urine‐based drug & alcohol screening
