**Lead Financial Strategist Position Available**
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our financial strategy and operations across a dynamic division.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grounding in government financial management, reporting, and compliance frameworks, as well as excellent leadership skills and the ability to interpret financials and communicate confidently with executives.
About the Role:
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for guiding a small team while overseeing end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and governance. You will work closely with the Department of Treasury and Finance, external service providers, and cross-agency partners to drive high standards in public sector finance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading a dedicated finance team, building capability, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
2. Delivering accurate, timely budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis in line with public sector frameworks.
3. Developing best-practice processes, policies, and reporting tools to support clear and strategic decision-making.
4. Collaborating with executive leaders on key submissions, including business cases, budget bids, and Cabinet papers.
5. Managing critical financial relationships and statutory requirements, including liaison with Shared Services SA, DTF, and auditors.
6. Supporting performance and accountability through robust reporting to Risk & Audit Committees and parliamentary forums.
