About the Role
We're looking for a Construction Officer / Plant Operator to join the team on a temporary basis, supporting the construction and maintenance of vital water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on skills in plant operation and physical labour, who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to public service projects. Key Responsibilities:
Operate plant and machinery including backhoes, tipper trucks, and front-end loaders
Assist with constructing and maintaining water and wastewater systems
Perform physical labour and site preparations as required
Work safely and efficiently on site in accordance with industry standards
Support team members in delivering high-quality infrastructure services
About You
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, safety-conscious worker with relevant experience and a positive attitude. You'll need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, team spirit, and a commitment to safety.
You'll need:
Experience operating plant such as backhoes, tipper trucks, or loaders
Ability to perform physical labour and work outdoors in various conditions
Class C driver licence and white card
Current immunisations against Hepatitis A and B (or willingness to get vaccinated)
