Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) is seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Cultural Capability Educator (Identified position) to help lead and inspire a culturally capable and inclusive workforce. As a valued member of the Aboriginal Health Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our Cultural Safety Framework to life. Your Role Includes
* Leading the implementation of cultural safety initiatives across SCHN
* Designing, delivering, and evaluating engaging learning programs that strengthen cultural capability
* Facilitating the Respecting the Difference mandatory training for all staff
* Supporting teams in embedding cultural learning into everyday practice and interactions
* Collaborating closely with managers and clinical leaders to drive culturally safe care
* Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on learning outcomes to ensure continuous improvement
What You'll Be Doing
The Aboriginal Cultural Capability Educator is a member of the Aboriginal Health Directorate and is primarily responsible for supporting the implementation of the cultural safety framework, with a focus on developing a culturally capable and inclusive workforce within SCHN. This includes the facilitation, evaluation and reporting on learning outcomes for all staff. The role is also responsible for delivering the Respecting the Difference mandatory training, and supporting staff in embedding the learnings into day‐to‐day practice and interactions with Aboriginal colleagues, as well as Aboriginal patients and families. Reporting to the Director of Aboriginal Health (and in collaboration with the Associate Director, Education and Training) the Aboriginal Cultural Capability Educator works closely with managers and clinical directors to support culturally safe practices in their respective areas. The position will also be integral to the development and rollout of other key internal and external learning solutions for employees within SCHN.
