Primary objective

Provide administrative and project support for the development and implementation of corporate governance, including high level

stakeholder engagement and communications, monitoring of governance arrangements and secretariat support for Education and Training

Executive Board (ETEB) and governance committees.

Context statement

The Corporate Governance and Improvement Frameworks (CGIF) team is the centre of expertise for the implementation of effective

governance and improvement frameworks to ensure effective decision-making, accountability, and alignment with the department's

improvement priorities.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide high-level secretariat services to governance boards and committees, including the organisation and coordination of meetings,

preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, and supporting good governance practices.

1. Effectively and professionally communicate with stakeholders such as board and committee members, including through the

monitoring of actions.

3. Provide support and advice to the CGIF team to facilitate the development and implementation of agency governance, policy, change

management and business relationship activities.

4. Support the development and maintenance of collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient

and effective responses to issues.

5. Provide ad-hoc administrative and project support to the team as required.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience in a secretariat support role, or the effective provision of secretariat services including minute taking,

meeting coordination and monitoring actions.

1. Sound written and oral communication skills, including ability to clearly articulate in plain language and with high attention to detail for a

range of government correspondence.

3. Demonstrated experience working to tight deadlines, using sound project management and organisational skills to prioritise

workload and ensure delivery of both secretariat and project officer duties.

4. Proven integrity and initiative with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

1. Demonstrated ability to work with autonomy and accountability, along with the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
2. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective networks with a range of internal and external stakeholders and interact

effectively with people from diverse cultures.

Desirable

1. Qualifications in administration, project management or similar.

2. Knowledge and understanding of government and ministerial correspondence and processes.
