About the work unit / facility The Richmond Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) is a small rural hospital with 10 beds, an oral health clinic, and community health services. Up to four beds are allocated for long-stay nursing home-type patients. The MPHS provides emergency care, general medical and post-surgical services, paediatric inpatient care, pharmacy services, and both adult and child community health services delivered through the outpatient department and in the community. Allied health services are delivered by the Primary Healthcare Network (PHN) according to schedule. Seriously ill patients are evacuated to tertiary facilities, coordinated by Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ) in partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Rural and Remote Incentive Package (RANIP): The successful applicant may also be eligible for RANIP About your opportunity The Clinical Nurse (Community Health) will coordinate services across visiting allied health, women's and sexual health, paediatric care, and oral health for Richmond and the surrounding district. The nurse will provide community-based care through child health and immunisation clinics, as well as home visits, to promote, maintain, and improve the health and well-being of the Richmond population. This will be achieved by using holistic and comprehensive assessment practices to develop and implement care plans in consultation with key health care providers. Allied health services will be delivered by the PHN according to schedule.
