About the role

This is an entry‐level Biomedical Engineer role supporting the repair and maintenance of medical equipment across Western Health sites. The position offers hands‐on technical experience, exposure to clinical environments, and opportunities for skill development under senior supervision, with a strong focus on compliance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

* Perform maintenance and repair of infusion devices and other biomedical equipment across all Western Health sites
* Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with AS/NZS 3551 and manufacturer guidelines
* Support equipment commissioning, testing, and asset management activities
* Maintain accurate service records and update work orders in the asset management system

About you

* Degree in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
* Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with healthcare standards
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a clinical environment

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women's prison located in Ravenhall.
