About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our busy production operations. Reporting to the General Manager/Directors, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across all production areas.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will oversee team leaders, manage labour utilisation, and ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, WHS, and company policies.
Your goal will be to produce goods of the highest quality in the most efficient way while developing staff capability and developing strong company culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day production operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high‑quality output.
* Lead and mentor production staff.
* Oversee rostering, labour forecasting, and daily/weekly reporting on performance.
* Reduce waste and inefficiencies while maximising throughput.
* Continuously improve processes, SOPs, and production systems.
* Manage budgets relating to labour and other production expenses.
* Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, and cross‑training.
About You
* Proven experience in a Production Management role within food manufacturing.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
* In‑depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and WHS requirements.
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to manage budgets, analyse data, and drive efficiency improvements.
* Hands‑on leader.
