We are looking for a highly motivated professional with demonstrated experience within marketing and communications. You will be a team player that is able to provide leadership and direction to a fast paced, agile team. Your positive internal and external stakeholder relationships will ensure you have the ability to deliver the best service possible and resolve problems through analytical reasoning.
The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for:
4. Ensure timely identification of current and potential communication issues and/or the implementation of planned communication responses
5. Lead a small team to develop and implement communications plan and strategies for Council, it’s services and facilities
6. Monitor the local media and ensure Council responds effectively to any media content
7. Write and compile advertising and campaign materials, prepare and publish website content and develop social media messages and digital marketing campaigns for a range of Council events and programs
8. Work with stakeholders for the purpose of internal communications, media opportunities and speech writing
9. Work with graphic design staff to produce high quality artwork with clear brand alignment
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
10. Degree in Communications, Marketing or similar qualifications of the position or significant relevant experience of 5-7 years
11. Drivers Licence
12. Immunisations COVID 19
13. Post-graduate studies in specialist fields (Desirable)
14. Business Management (Desirable)

Salary range: Grade 17 - $102,185.11 - $110,577.45 per annum including superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
