Job Description
Conduct research to explore next-generation composite geotechnical engineering support elements with robust strength properties under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a cohesive research profile, focusing on advancing expertise in geotechnical engineering.
* Conduct a comprehensive literature review, execute systematic experimental studies, perform data analysis, and prepare detailed reports for industry partners.
* Compile progress reports, participate in industry meetings pertinent to the research project, and effectively communicate and disseminate research outcomes.
* Establish and build collaborative research partnerships with various partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
An Honours degree or higher qualification in textile engineering or manufacturing, or geotechnical / mining / civil engineering with manufacturing experiences or equivalent tertiary qualifications is required. Progression towards completion of a Doctoral qualification will be highly regarded.
Relevant experience in advanced composite manufacturing, pultrusion, braidtrusion, vacuum infusion, injection moulding, multifunctional composites, compression moulding, extruder designing, polymer resin infusion, and other composite manufacturing expertise is necessary.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders are essential.
