Salary: Level 2/3, $34.87 - $39.37 per hour (EA (Gov) GA 2025)
Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time
We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants - Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Bull Creek Primary School (PS) became an Independent Public School in 2014. The school provides high quality teaching and learning via delivery of evidence-based programs.

Suitable applicants will assist in the implementation of specialised education programs such as occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy, helping to ensure that students receive the best possible education.
Suitable applicants will work closely with teachers to deliver planned education programs, including the use of computers and digital technologies, and will be responsible for implementing individual student or small group programs or demonstrations. Additionally, they will provide feedback on education and therapy programs and will participate in the evaluation process.

o Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students with special needs, parents, and teaching professionals on the provision of educational programs, and to assist teachers in understanding students where necessary.
o Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs, including special education and therapy programs where these have been implemented.
o Demonstrated good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs to students and subsequent feedback to teaching professionals or psychologists.
o Demonstrated Ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs, including special education and, should this be a requirement of the position, occupational and/or physiotherapy programs.
o Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
o Demonstrated ability to assist with general health and well-being of students
