About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our client, a prominent name in the Australian market, focusing on their advanced range of air conditioning products, including Reverse Cycle systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Sales Growth: Proactively promote and sell the company's product range to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
* Client Relationship Management: Develop and foster strong relationships with dealers, installers, project managers, builders, and specifiers to secure product specifications, supply agreements, and sales. Implement structured call programs and maintain regular contact.
* Business Development: Identify, pursue, and win key customers across NSW. Investigate and develop new market opportunities and stay informed about competitor activities and relevant legislation.
* Project Management: Oversee key projects, including the significant NSW Schools Project, coordinating with all stakeholders.
* Market Engagement: Support promotional activities, attend trade shows and exhibitions, and identify cost-effective advertising opportunities.
* Customer Focus: Ensure customer complaints are resolved effectively and provide prompt, knowledgeable support regarding products.
* Administration & Reporting: Prepare regular reports, manage supply agreements and pricing within guidelines, utilize the CRM system effectively, and participate in sales strategy meetings.
About You:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and business development, ideally within the air conditioning or HVAC industry.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
* Strong understanding of the NSW construction and HVAC sectors, including key processes and supply chain dynamics.
* Experience selling technical products through various market channels (dealers, projects, specifiers).
* Excellent skills in leadership, account management, strategic planning, and project management.
* Ability to develop strong business partnering relationships.
* Willingness to travel regularly across NSW/ACT, with occasional interstate travel and flexibility for events outside standard hours.
* Proficient in CRM systems and reporting.
