About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team at Craig Baker & Associates. This role has become available due to growth of the firm's client base. Craig Baker & Associates is a long-established accounting practice located on the Gold Coast. This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years of public practice experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
* Client liaison and management of day-to-day queries
* Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ATO requirements
* Supporting senior team members and mentoring junior staff where required
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice
* Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
* Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* CA/CPA/IPA qualified or working towards completion (preferred)
