About the Role
We are seeking applications from Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers or Clinical Nurses to join the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) team at the Mackay Community Health Centre on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide intake, assessment, referral and treatment to young people who are referred to the CYMHS or present to Emergency.
* Work as part of a small team providing clinical services during business hours, extended hours and weekends.
* Collaborate with the Acute Care Team during after-hours shifts.
About the Team
The CYMHS team provides intake, assessment, treatment and case management services to young people with moderate to severe mental health issues.
The Intake team participates in our brief therapy program offering short-term clinical interventions where appropriate.
