Payroll Officer – Full-Function | Healthcare Sector | Hybrid WFH | Immediate Start An excellent opportunity has opened for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a respected organisation in the healthcare sector.
This is a 6-month temporary contract with an immediate start and a 50% work-from-home arrangement for the right candidate.You'll be joining a supportive team of four, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll forunder 1500 employees across three entities, all operating on a monthly payroll cycle.
The role will involve managing complex leave entitlements, with a strong emphasis on long service leave accruals and calculations.
Key Responsibilities Process full-function payroll for approximately 1,500 across multiple entities on a monthly cycle Manage onboarding, terminations, pay adjustments, bonuses, and deductions Handle all leave types with a focus on accurate long service leave (LSL) accruals, entitlements, and payouts Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including PAYG, superannuation, and STP reporting Respond to payroll-related employee queries professionally and in a timely manner Maintain accurate records within a modern payroll/HRIS system and assist with reporting and audits Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams on process improvements and compliance initiatives About You 2+ years' experience in a full-function payroll position within a medium to large business Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements Proven ability to manage complex leave structures, including long service leave High attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and excellent time management Experience with payroll systems such as Chris21, SAP, Preceda, Micropay, ADP or Dayforce is highly regarded Comfortable working independently and within a small, collaborative team The Offer Immediate start available 6-month temporary contract Hybrid model – 50% work from home If you're a payroll professional ready for your next challenge and confident managing full-function payroll with a focus on long service leave, this role offers flexibility, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a respected organisation in the healthcare sector.Any specific questions feel free to get in touch with us!Liam Grafitti, ****** Song, ****** Operating for over 20 years in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, people2people, Edge Recruitment, Infront Sports and Frog Recruitment are your award-winning recruitment group and HR solutions provider.
