About the Role
Looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and real impact? As our Roaming Chef Supervisor, you will travel across our aged care homes nationally, providing hands‐on leadership and support to kitchen teams when it's needed most.
This is a unique opportunity to step into different homes, support teams during periods of change, leave coverage or operational need, and help maintain high standards of food service across the organisation.
You'll play a key role in ensuring continuity, mentoring staff, and delivering high‐quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents—no matter the location.
This role is ideal for an experienced chef who enjoys travel, flexibility and stepping into dynamic environments where they can make an immediate difference. This role is open to applicants based throughout Australia.
No two weeks are the same! As Roaming Chef Supervisor you will:
* Step into aged care homes to support kitchen operations as required
* Lead and stabilise kitchen teams during leave coverage or workforce gaps
* Deliver high‐quality, nutritious meals in line with resident needs
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS standards across multiple sites
* Support menu planning, food preparation and service delivery
* Provide coaching and guidance to kitchen teams to maintain standards and consistency
* Assist with stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
* Build strong relationships with site teams and leaders
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you are adaptable, confident and enjoy working in new environments.
You will bring:
* Trade-qualified Chef with proven experience in a Chef Supervisor or similar leadership role
* Previous experience in aged care (highly regarded)
* Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, allergen management and WHS compliance
* Ability to quickly adapt to new teams, environments and systems
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to step in and add value immediately
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* A flexible approach and willingness to travel regularly
* A genuine passion for delivering high‐quality food and supporting teams
