About Power Grid Modelling
Electricity grids are undergoing a significant transformation. The shift to renewables, proliferation of rooftop solar, batteries and electric vehicles is forcing utilities to operate their grids in new ways.
We're developing data engine capabilities making this possible. We have contracts with investor-owned utilities.
The Role: Data Scientist
You'll develop core network modelling capabilities powering our grid analytics platform. You'll build physics-based and AI-driven models understanding how networks behave under real-world conditions.
This work underpins constraint identification and Distributed Energy Resource impact analysis.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong analytical skills. You'll design and implement models, validate them against messy real-world data.
Design generalized powerflow models working reliably across diverse network topologies, voltage levels and data quality scenarios.
Develop advanced modelling techniques such as linearised approximations, physics-informed neural networks, graph neural networks, hybrid approaches and optimal powerflow.
Collaborate with experienced power engineers ensuring models grounded in grid physics and operational reality. Work with talented software engineers to productionise models and integrate into the platform.
