Audit Manager (MID TIER FIRM) We’re working with a highly regarded mid-tier firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to take a key leadership role within their audit division. With two capable Assistant Managers already in place, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a people-focused role and is ready to take on greater responsibility. About the Role: As Audit Manager, you’ll work closely with a supportive Partner to help lead and grow the audit team. You'll be involved in managing staff, overseeing client audit engagements, and playing an active part in developing the department's structure, processes, and people. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a more strategic leadership position – acting as the Partner’s right-hand person – with the potential to play a key role in future succession planning. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a portfolio of audit engagements across a diverse client base Oversee and mentor a team including two Assistant Managers and junior staff Ensure high-quality audit execution, client satisfaction, and timely delivery of engagements Collaborate with the Partner to support team development and operational improvements Contribute to process enhancements, training initiatives, and department planning Build strong relationships with clients and provide strategic guidance where needed About You: CA/CPA qualified with 6 years’ external audit experience Proven leadership experience, ideally at Assistant Manager or Manager level Skilled in managing teams, building culture, and developing junior staff Strong client engagement and project management skills Experience using Caseware software is highly regarded Ambition to step into a broader leadership role, with potential for long-term growth What’s on Offer: A genuine leadership opportunity within a stable and growing team Direct impact on shaping the future of the audit department Long-term succession potential for the right person A collaborative culture, flexible working options, and supportive senior leadership
