About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Manager to lead our retail operations and customer engagement efforts. This pivotal role involves managing product strategy, inventory, marketing, and frontline sales while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and oversee the optimal mix of solar and electrical products, including inverters, panels, and accessories, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency across all retail and service touchpoints.
2. Design and execute purchasing strategies for solar and electrical inventory; establish competitive pricing models and marketing campaigns to drive product visibility and align with company goals.
3. Lead the promotion of Jala Electricals’ solar and electrical services through both digital and in-person channels, ensuring consistent messaging that highlights the company’s commitment to quality, reliability, and innovation.
4. Manage frontline retail operations by selling products and services directly to customers, providing tailored advice on system options, usage, and post-installation care to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
5. Monitor and maintain accurate records of stock levels and sales transactions; ensure timely replenishment and financial accountability aligned with business targets.
6. Develop, manage, and report on retail operational budgets, ensuring resource allocation supports both growth and service quality objectives.
7. Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance supervision of retail and customer service staff, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Jala Electricals’ values.
8. Ensure that all retail operations comply with occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations, and internal policy frameworks to guarantee a safe and compliant working environment.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 03 years of work experience in retail management, preferably in the electrical, solar, or related technical services sector
2. Minimum qualification required: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is essential, with postgraduate studies in business or event management considered highly advantageous.
3. Strong understanding of sales strategies, inventory control, and customer service excellence
4. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate sa retail team
5. Solid knowledge of budgeting, pricing, and marketing principles
6. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
7. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards
8. Proficiency in retail management software and basic financial reporting tools
9. Relevant qualifications in business, retail management, or a related field (preferred)
