About the Role
We are seeking highly experienced and resilient Support Workers to provide 24/7 support to a participant with Angelman's Syndrome, presenting with very high support needs, complex care requirements, and behaviours of concern.
This participant is considered high risk, and the role requires workers who are confident, capable, and experienced in managing complex and unpredictable presentations.
This is a high-intensity role requiring workers who are confident supporting non-verbal participants, implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies, and managing behaviours safely and professionally.
This is not a beginner role. Only applicants with strong, proven experience in complex care and high-intensity support should apply.
Immediate start available
Minimum availability of 3–4 days per week is required
Must be available to work day, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts
Participant Overview
* Diagnosis: Angelman's Syndrome
* Communication: Non-verbal
* Support Needs: Very high / complex care
* Risk Level: High-risk participant requiring experienced support staff

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, structured, and high-quality support in a 24/7 environment
* Support a non-verbal participant using appropriate communication strategies
* Implement and follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP)
* Manage and respond to high-intensity behaviours safely and professionally
* Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, maintaining dignity at all times
* Promote routine, structure, and emotional regulation
* Facilitate safe and meaningful community access
* Work collaboratively within a 24/7 support team
* Complete accurate shift notes and incident reports
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience supporting high-needs, high-risk participants
* Experience working with non-verbal clients
* Strong background in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and behaviour management
* Experience managing complex and high-intensity behaviours
* Ability to work flexibly across day, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts
* Calm, emotionally regulated, and professional under pressure
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Reliable, consistent, and team-oriented
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in complex care and behaviours of concern
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
* Blue Card
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Ability to work across home and community environments
* Driver's Licence (preferred)
