You'll be at the centre of a broad elective surgical program and a responsive emergency service, with anaesthetists playing a vital role in both.

Your Clinical Scope
Provide comprehensive anaesthetic services across elective, urgent and emergency procedures, with perioperative clinic responsibilities shared on a rotating basis.
Diverse case mix
* Orthopaedics: hip and knee replacements, trauma surgery and a broad range of general orthopaedic procedures
* General Surgery: laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bowel resections, hernia repairs, skin lesion excisions and gastroenterology cases
* Obstetrics & Gynaecology: epidural analgesia for labour and anaesthesia for caesarean section
* Urology: endoscopic and elective procedures
* Dental Surgery
Maintain and expand your skills across a diverse caseload, contributing to safe, patient‑centred care for the New England community.
Relocation + Incentives
* Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme: up to $10,000 in year 1 plus up to $10,000 per year thereafter (RHWIS pro‑rata for part‑time – applicable to Staff Specialist role only)
* Relocation support: up to $20,000

Hold a specialist qualification listed on the Medical Board of Australia's Expedited Specialist Pathway acceptable list. Once approved, commence work under specialist registration with six months of supervised practice.
