Head of Compliance | Non for Profit Discretionary Mutual

Up to $150,000 + Super & Profit Share & Benefits

One of our most UNIQUE offerings is Peninsula Mutual. A non‑for‑profit, member‑owned, discretionary mutual that is exclusive for Peninsula clients, where the board can exercise discretion in areas of membership, scope and cost of protection and claims.

As our business grows, so do opportunities. We're now seeking to appoint a Head of Compliance to join us and provide support across all Mutual functions, including: Compliance, Finance and Claims.


In this role, you will:

* Support: Assistthe Associate Director with all elements of the Mutual business, AFSL Compliance and Claims Management.
* Identify and mitigate: compliance risks and controls.
* Maintain: Mutual's compliance management framework, ensuring operation in accordance with Regulatory and Financial Services licence requirements.


Qualifications:

* Industry experience: ideally coming from an Insurance background, with a wealth of knowledge across Risk & Compliance, AFSL and Claims.
* Operated at an executive level: preparing and presenting papers at Board level as well as providing regular updates to our global executive team.
* Hands on approach: as a senior member of the Mutual business, you will need to lead from the front, providing a high level of coaching and development to the Compliance team.
* Attention to detail: drive compliance monitoring, maintain the complaints and breach registers as well as provide reporting for internal parties and Regulatory bodies.
