Therapeutic Counsellor - Sexual Assault Support
Laurel House delivers a range of trauma-informed services to victim-survivors of sexual assault.
Our team provides therapeutic face-to-face counselling at centres in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, and through outreach locations across North and North West Tasmania.
We partner with the Tasmanian Government to deliver specialist programs for children and young people who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours.
Our community education programs focus on preventing sexual harm and supporting parents, carers, and service providers.
As a child-safe organisation, Laurel House upholds the rights of children and young people, amplifying their voices.
Key responsibilities include providing intake, counselling, and crisis support across Laurel House sites, outreach locations, and co-located multidisciplinary Arch centres.
Counsellors have access to internal and external supervision, professional development opportunities, and the support of our skilled team.
