About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be part of the pre-sales team responsible for providing technical sales & project support for large retail and commercial tenders and sales as well as provide technical support to team members on LPA's products.

To be understand the role, duties include but are not limited to the following:

Technical Support

* Serve as point of contact for internal technical support for team members, providing quick and accurate solutions to technical queries.
* Assist the Technical Support Manager in arranging training and mentoring programs to upskill team members in understanding LPA products and their applications.
* Troubleshoot technical issues with products, and projects, and provide effective resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Product and Quality Assurance

* Ensure all LPA products adhere to technical specifications, local compliance regulations, and quality assurance standards.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including relevant datasheets, manuals, and testing reports, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure lighting products align with stakeholder's expectations.

Estimation and Quotations

* Assist with the preparation of tender packs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
* Provide overflow support for preparing quotations, estimations, and budgets, maintaining precision in costing and product selection.

Product Sourcing and Development

* Support the sourcing and evaluation of new products, ensuring they meet company standards and market needs.
* Collaborate with the product development team to ensure technical feedback is integrated into product improvement initiatives.

Team Communication

* Support in smooth and accurate product launches with all required data (where possible)
* Support sales and project staff with accurate documentation, datasheets, pricing and product sourcing for project-based sourcing requests
* Support with overflow of sales enquires

Compliance

* Work with the Global Product Specialist and Marketing to ensure the accuracy of all technical and compliance documentation including datasheets, IES files, photometric, labels, installation instructions and packaging
* Work with compliance team to ensure the product meets AU standards and assist in collating required information needed for compliance

About You

You have at least 3 years prior experience working in a similar technical position with strong understanding of lighting technologies, including LED, smart lighting, and lighting controls.

You have technical know-how, a strategic thinker with skills to take on and solve more complex issues and simplifying it. Having exceptional attention to detail is crucial and experience with tenders and documentation.
