**About us**:
We're essentially a small business doing a lot of things in the tourism world for backpackers! We run "Share Bus" and "Home on the Road". Share Bus is a rental of a minibus, trailer and camping gear which is shared between a group of backpackers to do a camping road trip. Home on the Road is our sister business where we hire out our Toyota Hiace campervans with a comfortable, basic set up (no electricity/gas) to hirers looking to explore Western Australia.
We are a young and relatively new company. There is the opportunity to get involved and have your voice in changing in managing things - i.e. changes to make to the vans etc. We are passionate about continuously improving.
**About the job**:
If you're looking to do something varied, and 'out of the office' this is it. This role is a general fleet/handy-person role for our rental vehicles and camping equipment/trailers business.
You are not responsible for sales or customer service, but will do all the work getting vehicles/equipment ready for customers including scheduling maintenance and, checking before/after rentals, ordering new equipment, making basic repairs to internal set ups and more. You will also need to maintain stocks of camping gear, and conduct some basic maintenance tasks for camping gear, and organise vehicle maintenance, repairs and panel beating.
There is also the opportunity to get involved with campervan conversion if you are handy with some tools. We are developing a modular system where we will be able to mix and match different components/features of a van set up. A carpenter will produce these, but you will be fixing them to the customer's van.
You will often be working alone, but if you are happy to listen to music or podcasts while you smash out a job this will be great for you!
