Community Mental Health Care Specialist

Role Details
Provides trauma-informed, culturally safe, intensive therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to young people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and supervise the delivery of strengths-based and recovery-oriented mental health care and treatment.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to develop streamlined referral pathways and ensure timely transition of care between services.
Selection Criteria
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR) or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health is highly desirable.
Requirements
* Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues.
* Effective interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication, and competence in information technology systems.
