Full-time (will consider part time) | $80,000 base + $15,000 performance bonus. Total package $105,450 (inc super)
Build the People Engine Behind a Rapidly Growing Dental Group
Family First Dental + Kareela Family Dental is a fast-growing, family-focused dental group in the Sutherland Shire. With clinics in Kareela and Engadine and ambitious expansion plans ahead, we are building the operational and cultural foundations for a multi-clinic dental network.
We are now creating a brand new HR Manager / People & Culture role to help build the systems, team culture, and hiring infrastructure that will support the next phase of growth.
This is not a traditional HR maintenance role. It is a growth-oriented position where you will help design the people systems that allow our clinics to scale, attract exceptional staff, and build a high-performing team culture.
You will work closely with the leadership team to create a workplace where people grow, feel supported, and are empowered to deliver outstanding patient care.

As the business expands, this role will naturally grow into a senior leadership position overseeing people and culture across multiple clinics.
Your Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Pipeline
You will own the recruitment system across the clinics.
* Managing job postings and recruitment channels
* Screening candidates and coordinating interviews
* Conducting reference checks
* Preparing employment contracts
* Building a hiring pipeline and recruitment funnels to attract strong candidates
Onboarding & Training Systems
You will build structured onboarding and development systems that help new team members succeed.
* Designing onboarding programs for new hires
* Coordinating staff training schedules
* Managing probation review processes
* Supporting ongoing team development and CPD programs
* Developing clear career development pathways for staff
Performance Management
You will support leaders and staff in maintaining high standards of performance and growth.
* Conducting regular one-on-one staff meetings
* Supporting structured performance reviews
* Managing performance improvement plans where requiredSupporting difficult conversations and workplace concerns
Payroll Administration & Rostering
You will manage the internal administration processes that support payroll and staffing.
* Monitoring staff timesheets
* Managing payroll data preparation
* Tracking leave and entitlements
* Coordinating staff rostering across clinics
Our clinics currently use Xero for payroll and timesheet management.
HR Compliance & Systems
You will ensure the business maintains strong compliance and documentation standards.
* Maintaining employee records and HR documentation
* Ensuring compliance with Fair Work and Australian employment regulations
* Managing workplace policies and procedures
* Supporting HR reporting and documentation systems
Culture & Team Development

o Supporting employee engagement initiatives
o Monitoring team morale and workplace culture
o Implementing staff recognition programs
o Supporting conflict resolution and team communication
o Organising regular team events, social activities, and team bonding opportunities
What We're Looking For
o Experience in HR, people management, or talent development
o Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
o Knowledge of Australian employment law and HR compliance
o Ability to handle sensitive workplace matters professionally
o Highly organised with a systems-oriented mindset
o A proactive and solutions-focused approach
o Experience in healthcare or dental is beneficial but not essential.
