Our client offers bespoke mortgage advisory services. Their core business functions are residential and commercial mortgage broking and lending solutions tailored to their client's needs and values. Due to sustained growth, the Director is looking for (part time or full time) Credit Analyst to manage the end-to-end application process for their valued clients and that's where you fit in.
The Credit Analyst plays a vital role in the client's broker experience via the service they ultimately provide to their clients. You will be reporting to the Director and Head Senior Finance Broker and you'll provide a seamless home loan experience for their customers. The role supports customers by managing the back of house residential and commercial loan process whilst simultaneously seamlessly guiding their clients from application to settlement.
What you will do
* Understand and manage the end-to-end process for home loan and commercial loan applications and manage the approval process.
* Evaluate creditworthiness of loan applications by analysing financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, and other relevant documents.
* Prepare and/or oversee credit submissions for new home loan and commercial loan applications, and coordination of deal execution through to final approval and eventual funding.
* Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and respond to inquiries related to loan status and documentation.
* Communicate with loan officers, assessors/underwriters, and other stakeholders including solicitors, conveyancers etc. to meet established timelines.
* Ensure residential loan applications are complete and accurate, including loan application forms, property valuation reports, and other required documents.
* Ensure commercial loan applications are complete and accurate, including loan application forms, property valuation reports, and other required documents.
* Ensure all applications are complete and accurate, including loan application forms, property valuation reports, lodging pricing approvals and other required documents.
* Prepare credit submissions for new home loan applications and ensuring all data entry reflects information from source documents including the completion of online calculators e.g., Servicing and LMI Calculators.
* Ensuring all applications are submitted within risk and compliance frameworks e.g., NCCP (National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009).
* Place the customers at the centre of everything you do by providing exceptional service from client introduction stage right through to loan fulfillment/funding, whilst continually ensuring customers become advocates of Finance Bizz.
What you will have
* Minimum 2 years' Banking or Finance experience as a Residential Mortgage Lending Associate/Lending Support Officer/Loan Writer or similar role in the mortgage or lending industry with strong knowledge in Home Loans.
* 2 years' experience with Commercial Lending as a Lending Associate/Lending Support Officer/Loan Writer or similar role.
* Be process driven and an ability to handle/manage multiple applications simultaneously.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple loan applications simultaneously.
* Confidence over the phone and ability to build rapport quickly.
* Strong ability to communicate (both written and verbal) with customers, loan officers, assessors/underwriters, solicitors/lawyers as well Lender BDM's.
* A high level of professionalism as well as being well organised.
