My client is a renewable energy developer and operator delivering tailored clean energy solutions for large commercial and industrial clients. Their core focus is designing, building, owning, and operating solar and battery energy storage systems, along with integrated energy solutions that support their customers' transition to net zero.
Role Responsibilities:
* Drive commercial growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial energy sector
* Own the full commercial cycle from client engagement through to contract execution
* Develop and position tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client financial, operational, and sustainability objectives
* Prepare and deliver compelling commercial proposals, bids, and tenders for energy projects
* Lead negotiations to secure profitable contracts in line with business strategy and revenue targets
* Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers including CFOs, sustainability leads, and operational executives
* Work closely with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure projects are structured for technical and commercial success
* Maintain a robust sales and revenue pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting to management
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and policy developments to inform strategy and strengthen market positioning
* Oversee the seamless handover of secured projects to the delivery team while maintaining client confidence and satisfaction
About you:
* Proven track record in commercial management, business development, or sales within the renewable energy, commercial solar, or battery storage sectors
* Expertise in managing complex commercial processes, including tenders, financial modelling, proposal development, and contract negotiation
* Ability to articulate technical energy solutions in a clear, commercially focused, and compelling way
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities
* Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Highly organised with strong time management and experience using CRM and reporting tools
* Exposure to embedded networks, microgrids, or behind-the-meter energy solutions
* Understanding of Australian energy market regulations, policy incentives, and renewable energy frameworks
* Experience working in collaboration with engineering, delivery, or asset management teams
