Part-Time Nanny Winthrop, WA

Contract: Minimum 12 months (long-term preferred)
Pay: From $35-40 per hour depending on experience
A warm, caring household in Winthrop, WA is looking for a nurturing and reliable nanny to support the care of their 19-month-old toddler. This is a long-term role, and the household will also be welcoming another baby later in the year. This position would suit someone gentle, patient and confident with toddler routines, who enjoys getting out and about in the mornings and creating a calm, safe environment at home.
Days Hours
* Wednesday: 8:00 am 3:00 pm
* Thursday: 8:00 am 3:00 pm
* Friday: 8:00 am 3:00 pm
The family is flexible regarding the days per week for the right candidate; however, they do require three consecutive days of availability each week.
About the Role
Mornings are active and focused on play and outings, with afternoons spent at home following the toddler s nap. You ll head out to local activities such as rhyme time at Melville Library, park visits, and occasional soft-play sessions. A car will be provided for outings.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and snacks
* Morning outings (library rhyme time, park walks, soft play)
* Settling the toddler for their nap around 11:30 12:00
* Light household tasks during nap time (dishes, folding toddler laundry, simple meal prep)
* Afternoon play, arts and crafts, and relaxed activities
* Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment
Requirements
* 3+ years experience as a nanny or in childcare related role
* Childcare qualifications ideal but not essential
* Confident with toddler routines and gentle guidance
* Caring, easy-going and able to use initiative
* Comfortable working closely with parents and open communication
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Current Working with Children s check
* Confident driver with a full clean drivers licence (Car provided whilst at work)

They follow a gentle parenting approach, while also setting clear and loving boundaries. Open communication and trust are important in this role.
Additional Notes
Mum may check in regularly and is looking for a nanny who is understanding, reassuring and supportive. The household is hoping to build a long-term relationship with the right nanny.
The family have previously employed a nanny for an extended period, with whom they were very happy. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to commit to the required days due to her study and career commitments.
