About the role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team. The role is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance of the facility grounds, including mowing, weeding, pruning, shaping of trees and shrubs, and the removal of green waste. The position also provides support to other site trades in the general maintenance of the facility as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the grounds and park areas of the facility.
* Mow lawns, weed, prune, and shape trees and shrubs.
* Remove green waste and maintain tidy surroundings.
* Support other trades with general maintenance tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* Experienced in routine maintenance and general handyman tasks.
* Able to handle minor repairs and grounds work.
Training, Support & Benefits
Upon joining, you will receive a comprehensive orientation to the facility, followed by extensive training on gardening practices and plant equipment. A full health and safety induction is also provided, and you will have ongoing support from the Grounds and Maintenance team.

* This position is full time; however, part time or job‑share arrangements may also be considered.
* An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full‑time, part‑time and temporary full‑time vacancies.
* To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the condition and expiry date of your visa.

Qualifications
* Demonstrated competency at planting, pruning, and shaping of trees and shrubs with experience in planning and maintenance of gardens and lawns.
* Demonstrated knowledge of pest and weed control.
* Ability to safely use mechanical gardening equipment.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision and within a team environment.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a sound understanding of high standards of customer service.
