Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to lead the delivery of in-reach Acute Rehabilitation Therapy services at Wollongong Hospital. The goal is to discharge patients directly home, avoiding transfers to peripheral sites for rehabilitation or GEM care. The role involves managing complex neurological, orthopaedic, and multisystem recovery cases, supervising Allied Health Assistants, Level 1-2 Physiotherapists, and students. You will also deliver education to hospital staff on best practices in acute rehabilitation and support early rehabilitation models across the district.
This position includes identifying patients suitable for home therapy, providing discharge care, and utilising virtual models of care. It is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician to step into a leadership role in a supportive environment.
