About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Identity Consultant with strong SailPoint experience to join our Managed Services team. This role blends operational ownership with project work and technical leadership.
* Own day-to-day support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of client identity platforms.
* Resolve complex issues, optimise performance, and ensure operational excellence.
* Act as technical escalation point and mentor to junior consultants.
* Contribute to the growth and maturity of the Managed Services capability.
Location
Primary team base: Melbourne. We also have team members in NSW and QLD.
* Flexible working: hybrid for Melbourne staff, remote for other regions.
* Occasional onsite client visits in your local area may be required.
Key responsibilities
* Provide Level 3 support and maintenance for multiple client SailPoint environments.
* Act as escalation point for complex or high-priority technical issues.
* Configure SailPoint workflows, policies, rules, and integrations to meet business needs.
* Monitor environments, troubleshoot incidents, and meet SLA targets.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for IAM operations.
* Mentor and train junior team members; contribute to knowledge base and documentation.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
* Support technical project delivery, including upgrades and migrations.
* Own tasks end-to-end, manage priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with IAM technologies.
Key requirements
* Minimum 3 years hands-on SailPoint (ISC and/or IIQ): identity lifecycle, access certifications, connectors, and workflows.
* Experience implementing birthright and requestable access models in SailPoint.
* Strong IAM fundamentals: lifecycle, authentication, authorisation, federation.
* Proven troubleshooting skills for complex SailPoint issues; rule/transform development experience.
* Experience with SailPoint IQService and ISC Virtual Appliance clusters.
* Onboarding applications and configuring integrations (AD/Entra ID, databases, web services).
* Proficient with REST APIs and connector development; familiar with Postman.
* Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript) for automation and customisation.
* Familiarity with other IAM/PAM tools (Entra ID, Okta, Silverfort, CyberArk, BeyondTrust) is desirable.
* Experience administering Windows Server and Unix/Linux systems and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
* Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and mentoring skills; proactive and customer-focused.
