Job Description
Our clinic in Wagga Wagga is currently seeking a
Medical Receptionist
to join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.
The role is a
full time position
working Monday to Friday, with shifts between
7:30am – 8pm
. The initial hours during training will be 8:30am – 5pm.
Role Overview
As a
Medical Receptionist
, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
* Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
* Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
* Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
Responsibilities
Once fully trained, you will have the opportunity to also be trained as a
Contact Centre Agent
, your responsibilities will include:
* Answering inbound phone calls for appointment bookings.
* Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
* Effectively managing the appointment calendar.
What We're Looking For
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience in customer service or medical reception.
