In this unique dual‑focus role, you'll have the rare opportunity to support business‑as‑usual service needs across the District while also contributing to meaningful research and evaluation projects that drive real health impact. You'll provide statistical expertise for routine reporting, service planning, and health needs assessments, while also leading the design and delivery of advanced analyses for research and evaluation across priority health areas. This role offers the chance to influence both operational outcomes and long‑term strategic improvements—making your work truly count.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and statistical capability, paired with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality. You will be self‑motivated, proactive, and confident in solving complex problems. With experience in population health data and reporting, you will translate insights into clear, meaningful communication for diverse audiences. Your ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and build productive working relationships will be key to your success in this role.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

* Tertiary level qualifications in biostatistics or relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in biostatistics.
* Experience in designing and applying advanced statistical methods, including emerging or novel techniques, to support research projects and analytical studies.
* Experience in using routinely collected health data (including linked datasets where relevant) to monitor population health, support health surveillance, and produce routine reporting and evaluation outputs.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
