The Role
Anglicare are currently seeking to hire a full-time permanent Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) to join our Finance team based in our corporate office on Duncan Street, Fortitude Valley. In this role you will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior management in delivering Anglicare SQ's Strategic Plan. The position will report directly to the CFO and will provide financial planning and performance support including advice to management and service leaders in understanding and interpreting financial results and performance trends, with particular focus on the longer-term horizon.
The Head of FPA is responsible for the co-ordination and compilation of the budget and forecasting process, management reporting and analysis of profit and loss, capital, cash flow and balance sheet to senior management, the Audit & Risk Committee, and Community Services Commission.
How you will make help us make a difference
* Lead the development and delivery of the annual financial planning and budgeting cycle.
* Drive the development of longer-term three-way financial projections (5 + years).
* Support strategic initiatives including capital planning and digital transformation projects, offering relevant analysis and advice, with focus on delivering financial benefits.
* Ensure reporting and analysis dashboards reflects current needs of the organisation and that analysis undertaken will drive longer term thinking.
* Support the CFO in financial analysis of strategic initiatives, revenue growth and cost saving opportunities.
* Review and interpret the Anglicare financial outcomes (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow) with particular focus on implications for the longer-term.
* Develop and lead a finance partnering team, that aids in delivering positive client outcomes, through provision of constructive financial guidance and advice to service streams.
* Drive high performance, through the preparation of team and individual professional development plans, identifying skill gaps and training opportunities.
What our team are looking for
* Engaging leader who can build strong relationships, influence and partner strategically with senior leaders in a complex environment.
* Experience in the not-for-profit (NFP) or healthcare sector (Ideally)
* Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or similar field, coupled with professional accounting qualifications (CA,CPA,CIMA)
* Experience leading and managing team/s in the development of financial plans, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-term projections within a multi-program organisation.
* Experience in transforming FPA teams to enhance partnerships with service streams, adopting new ways of working, and continuously evolving processes and service delivery using best practice and through the use of refined coaching and development skills.
* Skilled in managing, guiding, and leading multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of constructive challengers to influence financial outcomes.
* Proven experience in developing, analysing, evaluating, and reporting financial outcomes (including metrics) through management and committee papers, interpreting financial information to drive improvements and influence outcomes through advanced problem-solving.
* Strong relationship-building skills, together with high-quality written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating effective engagement with diverse stakeholders, influencing and negotiating financial outcomes.
* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word/Excel, Workday, and reporting/analytical tools such as PowerBI, D365.
