Assistant Store Manager Job

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail sales team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong retail background, commercial acumen, and a passion for customer service.


About the Role

This dynamic retail leadership position involves partnering with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, fostering a customer-centric culture, and uplifting team capability. Key responsibilities include:

* Driving sales performance and achieving targets through effective selling of merchandise
* Coaching and guiding the retail sales team to achieve targets and create a unique shopping experience
* Supporting day-to-day store operations, including rostering, financial performance, and administrative tasks
* Developing and implementing strategies to maximize both sales and customer service targets

The successful candidate will be able to balance customer care, team development, and administrative tasks, with a genuine interest in home-styling, furniture, or creating welcoming living spaces being a plus.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* 2-3+ years' experience in retail sales with a proven track record of achieving targets
* Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset
* Able to coach, guide, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service
* Resourceful with a can-do attitude and ability to solve problems and provide solutions
