Merge is currently seeking an experienced Electrician to maintain essential site infrastructure on a Rio site. Our client are leaders in electrical, renewable energy, civil works, construction and mining sectors and proudly based in the Pilbara. They deliver world-class projects for Tier 1 clients while creating lasting opportunities for all communities.
Responsibilities
* Non-process infrastructure maintenance
* Diagnosing system faults and carrying out efficient, compliant repairs to minimise downtime
* Completing preventative maintenance in line with site schedules and compliance requirements
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals and job documentation
* Working independently in remote environments or collaboratively within site-based teams
* Adhering to FIFO site safety standards, permits and procedures, and actively identifying and managing on-site hazards
Qualifications
* WA Electrical Licence (Grade A)
* EWC Certificate
* First Aid/ CPR/ LVR
* Working at Heights
* White card
* Experience with NPI electrical maintenance
* Current C Class manual driver's licence
* Committed to building strong team relationships to achieve shared objectives
* Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
* Willing to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screening
About the Role
* Champion safety by actively contributing to our client's strong safety culture and adhering to Vital Behaviours at all times
* FIFO out of Perth, 8:6 Roster
* At least 12 months' work on a Rio Tinto site, possibly ongoing for the right candidates
* Mobilising March 2026 or early April
